STUDY PERIOD DO's

Well... That dreaded time of year is lingering upon us once again...

                    EXAMS [Bleh!]

We all hate it but we have to get through it so here are a few DO's while studying for your upcoming papers.

Eat CHEESE
So I've heard cheese is considered a "brain food". Haha, not sure how true that is, but it tastes great and makes us happy when we eat it - so grab a few pieces as a study snack. Cheddar, Danish Feta, Brie, Camembert (whatevs you fancy really) - definitely healthier than a bag of crisps!

Feed on FRUIT
Obviously also the healthier option for a study snack... Fruits are filled with loads of vitamins and the good stuff (and we don't want to find ourselves getting sick around this time of year). My personal favorites are Strawberries, Pineapple and Kiwifruit- YUM! I'm also quite a bit obsessed with Coconut chunks lately, might not be for everyone but hey, its worth a try (:

Go for a RUN, GYM, MEDITATE or do some YOGA
Remember when you are cramped indoors with your books all day, you can become really depro. You need to allow yourself a break. Go for a run or spend some time at the gym and release some endorphins which will put you on that happy buzz and help you study even better. Even meditating or yoga helps... Plus its fun to act like a Buddha every now and then.

Drink loads of WATER
Be clever and stay hydrated. Your brain is mostly made up of water, so drinking water helps you think better, be more alert and aids concentration. It'll also help prevent you from getting headaches while study, plus its super good and healthy for you - bonus!

Pump up some MUSIC
If you're not one to study with music on (like myself), during your breaks - blast some good tunes and sing along. Music always makes you feel better

<---- Told you.

So GOOD LUCK to all of you smarty-pants' writing. Prep well, keep calm and stay positive, we're almost done for the year! *Happy Dance* A nice long, relaxing and well-deserved break will soon be here :)

Ciao

Nek Minute

Well interweb memes are all around us, some good and some well, kak actually.

We stumbled across this gem of a meme from our folks over in Aotearoa (new zealand morons).

Ya hey, it will take 3 or 4 views untill it grows on you, but once you figured out what his saying, go check out other "nek minute" videos.

if you still dont get it, it shows one scenario and then, adding nek minute (next minute), shows how, ultimately, something else happens.

I recommend the titanic one, as well as the "once were warriors" one for those who are not so sensitive.

Good Times NEK MINUUUUUTE!
