Kogel Bay still closed

In the week another (fatal) shark attack took place amid weeks of informing the City of Cape Town of human-shark interactions due to a Nat Geo research project taking place in the False Bay... Well Kogel Bay is still closed to bathers (and the many surfers who go there).

"Officials from the City of Cape Town confirmed on Sunday that Kogel Bay beach, near Gordon's Bay, will remain closed following a fatal shark attack this week.

David “Warrior” Lilienfield was killed after being bitten by a four-meter-long Great White shark on Thursday.

The Springbok was bodyboarding with his brother Gustav, at a spot commonly referred to as the caves.

The entire area has since been closed to all beach goers."

Sad that something tragic has to happen before anyone decides to listen

RIP David
